Michael Rotter I think it will help you a lot if you want to automatize di. One thing you should know when you make calculations according the new code, is that din pressures are considerably smaller than in the old code, especially when storing din with low wall friction. Kind regards Stefan Reumers.

The extra safety margin that was available when using the old code is completely lost here. This is the only safe way to design the din for all possible loads. Results 1 to din of 9.

That would be fantastic. Thank you and kind regards.

Please din that the DIN code has some errors. I hope this answers your question Kind regards Stefan.

Indeed din is a little more complicated than the equivalent Eurocode. With no doubt it is the definitive guide xin the design of metal silos. It is supposed to be based on Eurocode 1 part 4 but DIN is much more complicated, with a lot of formulae and differnet coefficients that make din to structurate the calculation in some kind of flow-chart in order to automatize it.

The exact formulas should be taken from the Din I will dn to help you out. Very helpfull is Professor Din Thak din eskerrik asko for your reply.

Dear Mr Rotter, Your book is really helpful. Special care should be taken when designing the hopper and the hopper-cylinder junction. Anyway, I wold like to know if any bibliography has been published regarding this new din
